My first working experience in Sofia

The work week finally ended. These 6 days were the most boring I’ve ever had since I started working. At least the staff at this supermarket was incredibly nice to me! As I already mentioned I work as a promoter. Most people would say that this is one of the easiest jobs ever. Well, try to stand on your feet 6 hours and do nothing! Then you can decide for yourself if it’s easy. First your feet start to hurt then your back and then you try to stop yawning and not to fall asleep. You feel like time is not passing at all. But that is one version. The second is being busy, your feet and back may hurt again, but at least you are not sleepy and time passes faster, when you talk to people. That’s the best thing about this job, working with people. Of course there are some people who are not willing to even look at you. People, be NICE to the promoters. They really want to help you. If you don’t want to spare a minute to talk to them, then tell them this politely. Don’t be rude! We’re just trying to sell our product and make you feel special.
You are really lucky if there is another promoter in the shop. You can talk to her/him, make fun of the rude people or the kids. It’s much easier if you have someone like you.  Few months ago I had these amazing three days with another promoter from my company. (The girl with the pink dress on the right)
Next I had one day with a girl few years younger, but we didn’t stop talking for like 4 hours. Unfortunately we didn’t find each other on Facebook or Skype.  Sad because we were both obsessed with tea.
It's great if you are working in a huge supermarket. There are hundreds of people and if it's Friday or Saturday there are many promotions. These are three girls, who I worked with in the same shop. The outfit of the first one is so funny.

Kids in the supermarket

Few days ago I saw these two children talking in the supermarket. They were probably neighbors or classmates. The boy was clearly into the girl. They were talking about not seeing each other in this supermarket before, even though their families shop here almost every day. They were so cute. There was an awkward moment of silence in which the boy started blushing and mumbling. It was so sweet. The girl played ‘I’m not interested in you at all’ part.  But she liked the boy as well.
A few days ago a friend of mine told me about her 6-years old cousin. So her cousin was asked how the boys treat her at school. She said that they were teasing her a lot, but she was pretending not to like it, although she did. That’s how fast kids grow up nowadays.
All of that technology, mobile phones, computers, TV, etc. the kids can learn everything. They don’t need to ask their parents and can just google it. And sometimes this technology replaces the communication between parents and children. It’s hard to raise a child these days. But at least there are people who take the responsibility and raise a smart, good, healthy child.
Here are only two photos of parents and children. The best thing about this supermarket was that there were a lot of young families with cute babies and kids.

Supermarkets

Like all of the women I love shopping too. I love going to bigger shops, it’s much more fun! There so many people with their own lives and problems. It’s fascinating how many different people can draw your attention to them.

I work in a supermarket occasionally. I work as a promoter and my job is to talk to women, because the product I’m promoting if designed for women only. But sometimes I speak with men as well when they are buying sanitary towels for their girls. They are so nervous and cute.
As I mention my job is to offer to women my product but sometimes there are just no females. During this time I can just stand and look curiously at the people around me. There this poor old lady who come to the supermarket nearly every day.
She always comes to me talking about her problem, about her life and sometimes I am interested in what she’s saying. She told me how she was always treated badly because when she was little child her parents died. She had to take care of herself with no help. She liked to have someone to listen to her story. Her husband died, her friends too. She has no one. So I decided I could spare a minute of my time just to listen to her and she thanked me for that.

Stories like her are plenty. Life is hard, it’s not easy. People sometimes don’t realize how lucky they are to have family, to study, to do the things they like, even to eat three 3 times a day. If you don’t appreciate something then you don’t deserve it. We should start to appreciate the life that you have now, before it’s too late. We should try to appreciate the people in our lives that matters the most and show them how glad we are to have them here. When was the last time when you said to a friend ‘I love you’? Or to your mother and father ‘Thank you’? These words mean a lot to them, trust me! That’s why you should say them more often and be grateful for the place we are now.

Let's talk about L.O.V.E.

It was Valentine’s Day three days ago. I now regret not picturing all of the people with presents, wine and heart-shaped red balloons. But I saw all kind of them! And most of them were really cute: men choosing presents for their girlfriend or wives and girls picking a present for their boyfriends. There were bouquets everywhere and roses and other red colored boxes. Even though Valentines’ day has its haters, there are a lot of people who appreciate the holiday and celebrate it the way they want. Mostly the men are cooking dinner or bring the girl to a fancy restaurant. Some buy flowers other chocolate. But they all are trying to make the lady in their life happy.
With all of that happiness and love around you…how single people feel? Or how a couple who is separated by a distance feel? I’m always a bit sad for those who are waiting for the right person and forget about having fun on their own. Good thing is that you have friends who are single too and you all can have fun together. And for the couples apart there is a little comfort that at least they have found someone who loves them back.

There are people who just don’t pay any attention to the holiday; in fact they don’t see it as one. But you can’t hide the fact that on this day there is a lot of money spent and there are people who are anticipating this day whole year.

But the point of the day is to celebrate LOVE. That’s why we are listening to love songs, watching romantic movies and drinking wine!  But isn’t that love that helps us along the road? The best thing that can happen to you is to fall in love and be loved back!

And because I had to search the web for some photos expressing love, here the best I found! :)

That's what I like about me!

I feel like I haven’t introduced myself properly so I will do that now.
I’m a student in the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. I graduated in my home town and then I moved to the capital to study. I chose this university, because I want to study Human Resource Management and that’s the only place where I can do that. I love working with people and that’s part of the reason I want specialize in HR.
One of my biggest hobbies is reading. I love reading, but sometimes I can’t find time for it. I enjoy reading classic books, but as well as some contemporary literature. I’ll write a post about books soon.
I can say that I like working. I have worked for a few months and I can say that it made me a better person. I know think differently. It helped me grow up really fast, result that I still doubt if it’s positive or negative.
And of course I’m a young person I like ordinary stuff like shopping, going out with friends, listening to music and watch movie.
I love writing as well. It has helped me a lot. When I can’t say the things I want to I write them down. It really helps when I am nervous and something bothers me. This is a way to get away of my problems and focus on something different. I used to write poem and short stories, but I never really had a success. It’s my dream to write a book and I hope someday I will find an inspiration and time and effort to do this.
Basically this is me. You can learn a lot more about me if you read my blog. :]

New Artists - Lana Del Rey

Music is a huge industry, which make more and more talented artist famous. A beautiful voice is a gift that few people have but these people become idols of so many children all around the world. I can come up with plenty of names of people who have such a big influence on the rising generation. There is a variety of music genres so that everyone can find his own favorite one.
It’s always hard when you are a beginner and not only in music and film. In every field of life it’s hard to be the new one. And the criticism is one of the things that can totally tear you to pieces.
Most of you have heard of Rebeca Black. The girl, which song got the most dislikes on YouTube. You can see it here Friday . She probably was devastated after this. All those negative comment can damage anyone for life. But then she appeared on Katy Perry’s video Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). I can say this is some kind of success.
I wanted to give bring up this fact is because I found a new artist. Her name in Lana Del Rey and today I come across some very mean reviews on her new album. Here is her new video Born to Die. Of course I’m not judging them, but I think sometimes the criticism for some things is just too much. I personally like the album, because it’s different. I haven’t heard something like this before. I don’t find it perfect, but I think that this girl can show her skills later. Her voice is not so popular, but this exactly makes it nice. I listened to her whole album and I like it. I could feel her emotions. I like the stories in the lyrics. There are few catchy melodies. You should just listen to one or two songs just to hear something new like: Video Games or Off to the Races. I even listened to one of her songs in a shop here in Bulgaria.  Maybe some will like her music too. :]
